Tortorella told what he wants to see from the game of Zamula

Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella expressed his expectations for the return of defender Egor Zamula to the team. The coach stressed that although Zamula is a talented player, he needs to become more consistent and decisive on the ice.

"I still think he's inconsistent. I don't expect this to change overnight, but our job is to keep sending the message. He's a dedicated athlete, I just want to see a more determined personality on the ice. We all know he's really good with the puck. I want him to work with the puck at a pace. The pace is not always determined by the feet. Pace is both mind and hands. The pace gives you determination. That's what we're working on with him. It doesn't get fixed overnight," commented Tortorella.

Zamula has missed the last two Philadelphia Flyers games. He has scored one goal and three assists in 17 games this season. The coaching staff is working with the player to improve his playing consistency and determination on the field.

John Tortorella called Russian striker Matvey Michkov a "crazy Russian." Tortorella said he wants the aggressive hockey mentality to become second nature to the team by the time Michkov arrives to play for Philadelphia.

Recall that 18-year-old Michkov in the current regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League Championship Fonbet played 29 matches for HC Sochi, in which he scored 11 goals and gave 15 assists. In total, Matvey scored 26 points.
