Sport Oakville Welcomes Volunteers.
With an eight member Board half or four seats are put to an election yearly. Commitment, time, and dedication are required to fulfill the Directors positions. Monthly meetings, special planning meetings and participation in events require a fair amount of time and energy. Knowledge of Sport In Oakville is certainly an asset.
As of 2017 Committees are being structured as part of our strategic plan to improve and enhance the Sport Oakville operations. A commitment similar to to the Directors above is also needed since committee members will be attending the same meetings, and events as the Directors.
From Students to Seniors and Everyone in between with a little time to spare we need help with our annual Sport Awards (Late October) and the Sport Zone at the Oakville Children’s festival (July). The Sport Awards requires registration staff, program distributors, and general setup staff. While the Sport Zone needs help with the Sport Oakville Information booth handing out literature.
